Hello bloggsters!

Well here it is the end of April and its snowing at my house. oh Mother Nature, you are a tricky one! I've been really working on getting a job, handing in applications, getting interviews, oh its stressful >.<. Anyways, with all this on my mind, I have one place to escape to... ONLINE SHOPPING! true, I don't have money to be spending right now, but ohh looking at all the pretty things makes me so much happier, sends my troubles to sea, and lets me float on the calm waves of fashion.

Bones sinking like stones

well hello little bloggettes!
I know I've only posted a few blogs and I'm kinda sucking at it, but at the moment, I'm just going to push that outta my brain :]
I saw the runaways last weekend. Needless to say my mind=blown! Dakota Fanning was amazing as Cherrie Currie, and although I'm not a fan of Kristin Stewart,  she looked/acted JUST like Joan Jet! it was insane! But the more influential part of said film was the FASHION! Holy moly ladies and gents! I am so so so very inspired by all the fabulous 70's fashion from that movie! The platform shoes, the hot pants! ah everything! Yesterday I went scrounging through my mum's closet and found some pretty rad woven platform sandals, I definitely wore them yesterday paired with burgandy socks, denim shorts and a guns and roses shirt I stole borrowed from my little brother ^_^

Also, got my hair coloured, bye bye pink! its now a lovely red colour :] I wanted to go a platinum blonde, but the pink that was in my hair was way too stubborn to get out. I love the red though, I'm quite content with it.

Strawberry Manilow

Finally got out of the house today! I needed it, it really pulls on you when you're stuck in the house 24/7. But as Seinfeld re-runs blur in the background, I figure i should blog. :] hehe My poor kitty rudy is having some weird tooth trouble, he's acting all funny, and keeps biting down and it sounds like its grinding :{ My dad will check him out when he gets home.

My mom took me to this really rad fabric store that had loads of gorgeous fabrics of all sorts! I got this really awesome fuscia linen material that I'm going to use to make my chesire cat romper, I'm still deciding what kind of fabric I'm going to use for the purple stripes...hmmmm But I got a pound bag of misc. buttons and I am very excited! I cant help but stick my hand in the bag and let them fall through my fingers, it's rather satisfying... When I went to check out, I noticed how eclectic the employees were, it was pretty entertaining, there were a few old ladies, one of them had penciled in very expressive eyebrows, along with vibrant blush and lip liner, another old lady was just too adorable! with her white curly hair and cute little hands, then there was the guy who checked me out, he was an interesting sort, he must've been in his early 20's with dark black thick curly hair and wicked sideburns, and if I remember correctly, his shirt had mighty mouse on it, he was pretty kickin in my book! :]
The fabric looks a lot more pink in person :]

I really need some good fashion mags, and I went to barnes and nobel today figuring they would have some good ones...wrong. However I did find Nylon, I was looking for Lula, Pop, ID and all those good ones. Grrr I guess I'll just have to find them on the interwebz. After picking out my nylon mag with the lovely Katy Perry on the front, it was time to head to one of my favourite stores, WHOLE FOODS! ahh I could spend all day at that store wallowing in all the glorious health food, well, this is what I ended up buying...

Raspberry and Pineapple bowl

Vegan Jerky! nom nom

Larabars (cinnamon roll and peanut butter cookie)

Lavender and Blueberry Dagoba Chocolate bar
Milk chocolate with hazelnut (equal trade and organic!)

Finally! Vegetarian Ramen! I love ramen, but i could never find non meat source until today!

This one I didn't get at whole foods, but it was delicious!

My outfit for the day
(sorry, it's nothing special, and the pictures aren't very great >.<)

Black and white print scarf from vintage store, floral 80's dress from thrift store, maroon cardigan from Forever 21, forest green tights from Forever 21, boots.... I've had them forever, I honestly cannot remember where I got them, tan hat i found in my sister's room :}

"but I can't wear my red cape, cause it would be repeating a mistake" -Priscilla Ahn-

Well I know I haven't posted hardly anything on this site, lets just say my motivation for blogging was short lived, but I'm going to try to regain it, but let's face it, I have a pretty boring life and not a whole lot to talk about, but I'm not gonna let that stop me...for now. This weekend it snowed a thomas the train load after a week of 60 degree weather, just when I was starting to break out my cuffed shorts and pastel cardigans. I must admit though, I am a sucker for waking up to fresh snow and long shiny icicles out my windows. I was gonna try and wear this powder blue faux fur coat that I've had for years, but my arms were too long and I looked like alice when she eats the mushroom and becomes giant in the rabbit's house! Speaking of alice, I am so absolutely stoked for that movie to come out! My friends and I are planning on dressing up and going to see the movie the minute it comes out, I claimed the chesire cat, however I am trying to figure out how I'm going to make the costume beforehand yikes! I need to get started on that >.>

Today has been an absolute veg day. I haven't done anything productive except delete all the duplicate songs off my itunes and stare at fashion blogs on my computer whilst scanning through all the vintage goodies on etsy, wishing I actually had money.

I've made it my new mission to be accepted in! I absolutely adore that site! and it would be so amazing to be able to share my looks on there... hmm I need to start taking pictures of my outfits, because I dont have any pictures that clearly show the clothes...
incase you were wondering... the shirt is a bright eyes t-shirt I found at a vintage shop, I cut it up to make it fit looser, underneath I am wearing a cheetah print nighty romper I got from forever 21, and some sheer black stockings... can't remember where I got them.

Well I think thats about all I have to say for now. sorry it's boring, and not informative as a blog should be... but I will work on it, maybe put up some DIYs or something

I've decided it's time for change. Lately I've been  lazy, bored, down and depressed, and I need to turn things around, I can't go on like this. After a good long cry and giant cuddle with my soul mate and best friend, he suggested that I make a list of things to accomplish everyday. I already started a "take a picture of the day" project, but I needed more, something to keep my mind occupied and keep myself from slipping dow the slope of worthlessness. He suggested I write something everyday, a story, a poem, a journal anything, hopefully this will help translate my thoughts into something concrete. As our brains got going on things to do, I thought, hey, why not learn Japanese! haha I know Japanese is probably one of the most difficult languages to learn, but I currently have way too much free time on my hands. To start off, I'm going to learn how to say, write and read one japanese word every day. Doesn't sound like much, but after a year, I will have known 365 Japanese words, not too shabby eh? I'm still trying to come up with other ideas to fill my day. I was thinking maybe to start out my daily routine with some yoga, or start learning the piano. I'm sure my list will grow as these tasks become easier and maybe even borring to accomplish, but I really need something to look forward to do everyday, I've lost so much motivation for nearly everything I've once loved, including dance and photography, which used to be such a big part of my life something that was apart of me. The pressures of dance really have driven me away from it, having to look perfect to move a certain way, it's really draining, no matter how absolutely rewarding performing on stage in front of everyone has become, I'm doubting whether or not my self esteem is worth all the damage before hand... I don't know. Maybe I will regain my drive and desire for it, but right now I'm just not sure if I can handle it. wow this blog didn't quite turn out how I expected, but that's life. You live, you learn.

P.s. Japanese word of the day:
thank you
Learn Japanese: Thank you
